Performances, Activities, Parades, Festivals and Events

Wether it’s a Christmas market, a pop festival, a play in one of the theatres or a classical concert, there’s always something to do in IJsselstein. Just an indication:

·         Carnaval                                                                                                              One of the biggest annual events in IJsselstein is Carnaval. This feast of fools starts on Friday and ends the next Wednesday morning. It has its peak on Saturday when the parade (with around 60 floats and participating groups) slowly moves through the town.

·         Annual arrival of Sinterklaas                                                                          While in the Netherlands, Sinterklaas stays in Hotel St. Epping!

·         Festivals                                                                                                         Winter Podium, IJsselfestijn, PodiumFestival, IJsselpop, ChildsFestival, Oorgasm (Indoor & Outdoor), Foute Zomerfeest and  Lekfeest.

·         Various performances in the theatres Fulcotheater and Pantalone              Many national and local plays and cabaret acts can be seen in IJsselstein.

·         Procession for “the Holy Mary of Eiteren”

·         Various activities for adults and children organized by shopping association “the Barony”

·         Many concerts in both the St. Nicholas Basilica and St. Nicholas Church
